So, Who Was Responsible for Pantone’s Color of the Year, Hilary?

Recently, we announced that Pantone’s color of the year for 2018 is Ultra Violet.

It has been popping up all over the fashion scene with our favorite fashion designers embracing this amazing color.

Well, way back in 2016, and even before, Hilary Clinton was seen sporting the color when Pantone was suggesting bland pastels.

A Color of Unity

According to PopSugar, the former first lady deliberately chose to wear ultra violet, set off against grey, in a pantsuit Ralph Lauren created.

She was making her 2016 concession speech with the eye-catching color radiating through the camera lens. Bill also wore a matching tie.

Hillary chose purple, which is a combination of red and blue, to signify unity between Democrats and Republicans.

Hilary Loves Ultra Violet

As you can see from these images, Hilary has chosen this amazing color in many of her political engagements.

Let’s face it, many women who take up a career in politics are doomed to boring blacks and navy – the color of choice for most men’s suits.

Who can blame a lady for wanting to stand out?

Regardless of your political persuasion, you have to admit that Hilary as an older woman certainly knows how to rock a pantsuit.
