Wearing high heels or stilettos can make you look gorgeous. They are that one fashion accessory which can make or break an outfit.

However, that stunning look comes at a cost.

The Cost of Wearing Heels

Wearing high heels can actually be dangerous to your health in the long term.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to stop wearing them, but it is important to take care of your feet, and of course, your health.

You don’t want to be crippled later on in life from poor choices.

So, here are three ways you can take care of your feet, and continue to wear heels:

1. At the end of the day raise your feet above your knees and get someone to gently rub them. Spoil yourself and use soothing balms and lotions.

2. If you’ve had a particularly long day on your feet and they are very sore grab a bag of ice or an old packed of frozen vegetables (small ones), and soak your feet in an ice bath.

This might take a bit of getting used to, but you’ll find the following morning you’ll wake up and your feet will feel much better.

3. Whenever you can during the day, slip off your heels and gently rub the soles of your feet on a tennis or rubber ball. The forwards and backwards motion will act like a gentle massage and you’ll find that you will be able to go longer on those heels.
