What Fashion Trends Have We Seen Come and Go in 2017?
The fashion year began in spring where bright colors of red, green, brown and orange celebrated a 1970s revival.
Moving from the darker days of winter we saw this tread in brighter colors replace the grey and monochromatic, which were so popular in the 90s.
Warmth and Style
While the weather warmed up the luxury of sheepskin products held their own. Popular were sheepskin coats, moon boots, and ugg boots – an Australian cultural favorite.
For the serious business woman flared double breasted trouser suits in black, purple, cream, grey, and navy blue, and even tartan made making an impression at an office meeting easy.

For the Summer Look
In an opposite trend, baggy floral maxi dresses, blue gingham dresses, midi-dresses were popular and loved by many for their ease of wear and for the wow factor that these dresses had.
Denim, Always a Winner
Jeans never go out of fashion, and this year we saw them slightly flared or applique cropped wide leg jeans, light wash jeans, and distressed jeans.
Denim also made a huge come back in the form of pale denim shirt dresses worn unbuttoned over blouses.
Feminine Blouses
Complementing the jeans were loosely woven plaid blouses with pleats, ruffles, and stripes.
Skater shoes and brown granny boots made going out and moving quickly much easier!
Some looks were breath-taking and fun while others had us scratching our heads.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, 2017 certainly borrowed a lot form fashion of yore and made them its own.
